Clarence House Chase: Race Prediction and Free Bets!
What will be the outcome when Energumene and Edwardstone go head-to-head?

The rescheduled Clarence House Chase will finally take place this weekend with Cheltenham Racecourse set to host the Grade 1 race. The race is traditionally run at Ascot but freezing temperatures earlier this month caused the abandonment of the Ascot meeting and the Clarence House Chase now becomes part of an exciting Trials Day card at Cheltenham.
Energumene v Edwardstone
We may be at a different course and a week later than planned but we finally get to see Energumene and Edwardstone go head-to-head. Here at freebets.ltd.uk we'll run the rule over all six confirmed entries into the race, bringing the very best free bet promotions and odds from our betting partners at BetGoodwin.
It's no surprise to see Energumene priced at odds-on for this years Clarence House renewal. The top-class chaser was edged out by Shishkin in this race last year in what is his only defeat over fences. Energumene is already a Grade 1 winner at Cheltenham having landed the Queen Mother Champion Chase at last year's festival. Followed up by winning the Champion Chase at Punchestown in April. Energumene was hugely impressive on his seasonal return, winning a Grade 2 at Cork by fifteen lengths in December.
Challenger, Edwardstone arrives at Cheltenham with a point to prove having unseated his rider in the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton in late December. Prior to his Kempton blip, Edwardstone was an impressive Tingle Creek winner at Sandown ahead of three Grade 1 winners, including last year's Clarence House winner, Shishkin.
Editeur Du Gite is the best of the rest and more than capable of running a big race from the front. Benefitted from Edwardstone's blunder at Kempton to take the Desert Orchid Chase last time out and already has two previous wins at Cheltenham, albeit neither race was anywhere as difficult as this assignment.
Clarence House Chase: Race Prediction
It's all about the big two in this year's renewal and although there's no denying the class of race favourite, Energumene, we can't help but feel that if Arkle winner, EDWARDSTONE is on song, he could prove the one to beat at Ascot.
