Belgium and Wales meet in the penultimate round of matches in the UEFA Nations League this week in a match of major importance for both nations. Whilst Belgium are eyeing a place in next summer's Nations League Finals, Wales are hoping to stave of what seems an inevitable relegation from League A. Ahead of the fixture at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, we will bring you the latest team news and betting tips as well as free bet offers and odds from our partners at Ladbrokes.

UEFA Nations League Form

Having suffered a heavy 4-1 loss against The Netherlands on match day one, Belgium are unbeaten in their last three Nations League matches. With seven points from a possible twelve, Belgium are three points adrift of League leaders, The Netherlands in the battle for top spot in Group A4. The two nations meet in Amsterdam in three days' time.

At the other end of Group A4, Wales are winless after four games with just one point earned. Poland sit third on four points which means Wales have to at least match the Pole's score on match day five before they meet in Cardiff on Sunday.

Wales have become something of a bogey side for Belgium in recent times with the two nations meeting on numerous occasions. Despite Belgium spending the best part of a decade near the top of the FIFA World Rankings they have earned just one win in seven matches against Wales.

The past two matches involving Belgium and Wales have both ended 1-1, including the reverse fixture in the current Nations League campaign.

Betting Tips

A third consecutive 1-1 draw would not be the biggest shock at 15/2 but we feel Belgium will be too strong for Wales in Brussels. At a modest price of 4/11, you should consider backing a home win on Thursday.

Belgium have scored nine goals in four matches in the UEFA Nations League. Whilst that seems a decent return, six of nine were scored in one match versus Poland. We're edging towards under 2.5 match goals at 5/4.

Kevin de Bruyne has more international goals against Wales than any other nation. The Manchester City midfielder has three goals against Wales for Belgium and heads to Brussels in superb club form. De Bruyne is incredible value at 9/5 to score at any time on Thursday.

We're not expecting too many goals in Brussels so feel there is better value in backing de Bruyne at 5/1 to open the scoring.

Belgium V Wales Match Odds
