There's a huge fixture at Goodison Park on Sunday as struggling Everton host Arsenal in the Premier League. We may be just five games into the new season but this match is of huge importance at both ends of the Premier League table. Here at freebets.ltd.uk you will find the latest team news and expert betting tips as well as hugely generous free bet promotions and match odds from our partners at Ladbrokes.

Team News

Everton's hopes have been boosted by the news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit and available after missing their last two league games through injury.

James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite have both overcome knocks which means long-term absentees, Dele Alli and Seamus Coleman are the only players not available for selection.

Thomas Partey misses out for Arsenal with a groin injury. Gabriel Jesus could start for the Gunners after coming off the bench to score against Manchester United in Arsenal's last match.

Form

Predictably, Arsenal are right in the mix at the Premier League's summit whilst Everton are languishing in the relegation zone. The Gunners go into this weekend's fixtures just two points off top spot with three wins and one draw from their opening four matches.

Everton are winless so far this season, earning their first point of the campaign in a 2-2 draw at Sheffield United in their most recent match.

Everton v Arsenal: Head-to-head

Arsenal were convincing 4-0 winners when the sides met at the Emirates in March however, the Gunners' recent record at Goodison Park is poor. Everton have won three consecutive home league games against Arsenal and are unbeaten in five. Arsenal's last win in his fixture came back in October 2017.

The corresponding fixture last season finished 1-0 in Everton's favour. James Tarkowski scored the winner in what was Sean Dyche's first game in charge.

Betting Tips

Given Everton's excellent recent record in this fixture, we couldn't back likely winners, Arsenal with a lot of confidence, especially at odds as short as 1/2.

Everton's struggles this season and last are down to their inability to put the ball in the net. However, they'll take a lot of confidence from scoring two goals at Sheffield United last time out. The Toffees had failed to score more than one goal in any of their previous six league games. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit and Beto set to make his debut, over 1.5 team goals for Everton is excellent value at 27/10.

If you're considering over 1.5 team goals for Everton then over 2.5 match goals should be considered a sure thing. At 8/13, over 2.5 match goals is our bet of the day.

Everton v Arsenal Match Odds

  • Everton: 11/2
  • Draw: 13/4
  • Arsenal: 1/2
